Hi there! I’m Tayb, born and raised in Bo Kaap, the heart of Cape Town.

I grew up surrounded by the unique history, traditions, and culture of the neighbourhood. It’s a place that fuels my passion for exploration and connection to the land. Whether it’s hiking, camping excursions, tackling 4x4 routes, or catching a Chapman's Peak sunset, I relish every moment spent in nature’s embrace. The Western Cape has been my playground for years. From sun-kissed beaches to rugged mountains, every corner tells a story. As both a culture- and mountain guide, I have the privilege of sharing my love for the Western Cape with visitors from all walks of life. I find joy in introducing travelling guests to my favourite trails and iconic landmarks, ensuring they experience the rich tapestry of our culture and heritage firsthand. I love sharing the narratives of our communities, highlighting the diverse lifestyles, cuisines; and the breathtaking views. Whether you're eager to hike up to a panoramic height or to soak in the vibrant energy of the Cape, I’m here to ensure you leave with a unique story to tell. Let’s explore together!

Aweh! I’m Tahir, an adventurer and outdoor enthusiast.

As a mountain guide, I have the incredible honour of exploring nature’s beauty while meeting travellers eager to experience the wonders of our remarkable country.

I believe that everyone has a unique story to share, and I can’t wait to hear yours as we journey through the mountains together! But my passion for connecting with people extends beyond the trails and I've even pursued an Honours Degree in Psychology. This academic background enriches my interactions with those I guide, allowing me to appreciate different perspectives when engaging with guests.

Adventure is my default mode, and I thrive in challenging environments. Whether it’s traversing Karoo semi-desert, navigating Knysna lush forests, or braving Matroosberg snow, I embrace every chance to push my limits. Each journey serves as a reminder of nature's resilience and the thrill of discovery.

Table Mountain holds a special place in my heart, though; she feels like home. Her awesome views and rich flora and fauna create an ideal backdrop for unforgettable treks.

Let’s embark on a fantastic exploration together!

Lace up your hiking boots to create incredible memories among the peaks and valleys. I look forward to our hike and the stories that will connect us!
