Trail Overview
Lion's Head is one of Cape Town's most iconic hikes. With steep sections, manageable scrambling, and exceptional city-and-ocean viewpoints, this easy to moderate hike takes about 3 hours to complete. We hit the trail early to catch that sunrise and soak up picture-perfect golden light. The summit rewards you with breathtaking 360° views of Cape Town's lovely city, the Twelve Apostles, awe-inspiring Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Robben Island, plus the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay. It’s like standing inside a postcard! Your private Guide will highlight points of interest in the city below and across the bay, touching on the history of our city and its promising future. A fantastic way to start your day, the early morning hike leaves you with enough time to continue exploring Cape Town after your adventure! Although a sunrise hike is the most popular, you're welcome to book a later start, or a sunset experience.
