False Bay Scenic Coastal Drive
Begin the day with a drive along the spectacular coastline of False Bay, passing the colourful huts of Muizenberg, the popular village of Kalk Bay, and continuing on to the naval Simon's Town.
Boulders Beach Penguin Colony
Elevated boardwalks allow for intimate viewing of our critically endangered African penguins in their natural environment, with ample time for photographs and quiet observation. You'll get to see them nesting right there on the sand. This never stops being a bit surreal no matter how many photos you've seen. And you have to experience their braying firsthand to understand why they’re affectionately called the jackass penguin. Your Guide will manage timing to avoid the busiest moments where possible.
Cape Point Nature Reserve and the Cape of Good Hope
Then it's on to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, where the views are the kind that make you stop talking for a minute. Explore the reserve and visit key viewpoints as well as the iconic Cape of Good Hope sign. There is an option to enjoy lunch at the onsite restaurant.
Noordhoek Beach
Time permitting, you have the option to stop at a lovely vineyard for an oyster pairing. Alternatively, chat to your Guide about a walk along the beautiful Noordhoek beach.
Chapman's Peak Drive
Conclude the delightful day with a drive along Chapman’s Peak, a masterpiece of coastal engineering carved into the towering cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean, a highlight for photographers and nature lovers alike. Your Guide will allow time for scenic pull-offs and photo stops, depending on conditions and your preference.
