Single-day Tour

Cape Point and Penguins

The best of the Cape Peninsula in one amazing day featuring the Cape of Good Hope and little African penguins.

A Journey Worth Choosing

Boulders Beach Penguins and the Cape of Good Hope

This is the tour most people picture when they think of Cape Town: a full day out on the Cape Peninsula, built around the sites visitors are excited to see.

The False Bay Coastline is dotted with quaint little villages, all with their own unique story and character. From the artsy Kalk Bay to the naval Simon’s Town, there’s a bit of history with every turn.

The Cape of Good Hope

One more thing worth knowing: when you book this Cape Point tour directly with us, a portion of what you pay goes to SANCCOB, supporting their work protecting the now critically endangered African penguin.

Muizenberg, Kalk Bay, Simons Town

Muizenberg Colourful Huts

Begin the day with a drive along the spectacular coastline of False Bay, passing the colourful huts of Muizenberg, the popular village of Kalk Bay, and continuing on to the naval Simon's Town.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony

Critically Endangered African Penguin

Elevated boardwalks allow for intimate viewing of our critically endangered African penguins in their natural environment, with ample time for photographs and quiet observation. You'll get to see them nesting right there on the sand. This never stops being a bit surreal no matter how many photos you've seen. And you have to experience their braying firsthand to understand why they’re affectionately called the jackass penguin. Your Guide will manage timing to avoid the busiest moments where possible.

Cape Point Nature Reserve & The Cape of Good Hope

Cape Point Lighthouse

Then it's on to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, where the views are the kind that make you stop talking for a minute. Explore the reserve and visit key viewpoints as well as the iconic Cape of Good Hope sign. There is an option to enjoy lunch at the onsite restaurant.

Noordhoek and Kommetjie

Noordhoek Beach

Time permitting, you have the option to stop at a lovely vineyard for an oyster pairing. Alternatively, chat to your Guide about a walk along one of the beautiful beaches.

Chapman's Peak Drive

Chapmans Peak

Conclude the delightful day with a drive along Chapman’s Peak, a masterpiece of coastal engineering carved into the towering cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean, a highlight for photographers and nature lovers alike. Your Guide will allow time for scenic pull-offs and photo stops, depending on conditions and your preference.

Custom Pacing

African Penguins

Because it's a private tour, the day moves at your rhythm. There's time to stop for photos, linger at the places you enjoy most, and tailor the experience around your interests instead of following a set schedule. It's the ideal choice if you want to see Cape Town's signature sights on a single unforgettable day without feeling rushed, while your Guide shares the stories, history, and local insights that bring each destination to life.
